I believe in the power of meal. I am convinced a good, delicious, clean meal will make this world a better place. I enjoy the company of people who have eaten well – they are kind, full of energy, even smarter than the hungry or those who have eaten poorly. I know it because I have been watching people in my kebab restaurants in Germany and Tenerife for the past 15 years. People from all walks of life are daily frequenting my restaurants that I have put all my heart, talent, and knowledge into. If that was possible, I would love to look into everyone’s eyes after they have tasted my meal. Then I would know if I have done everything right, if I have provided them with only the freshest products and thus kept the promise I gave myself to always offer top quality food products. If their eyes are sparkling I know I have done the right thing. Therefore, I aspire to be here at all times to supervise everything and to care for everyone.
The art of cooking is in my blood. I believe I inherited this talent from my grandfather. His name was Osman Uresin, just like mine. Yes, nobody has actually taught me how to cook, I just touch the food and I know how to create a great meal. I sense with my hands which vegetable will be the best for my kebab and which piece of meat will provide the ultimate taste. And the sweets, oh, I feel them in my fingertips. I guess I might be crazy. You know, I used to be a photographer, a successful one; I had my own studio, my customers, and my people. Still, the feeling that my calling is something else was ever present. Then, one day I went to my friend’s restaurant in Egypt. I entered the kitchen and just started cooking. Since that day I am where I belong, I feel satisfied. I am a real Turk, and to do the right thing is an honor to me.
